More holes into the deck. These should be the last, though. This area behind the cockpit should be good for simply holding stuff I need access to, as well as providing a location to slip the paddle/paddle float thingie when I need to get back in the cockpit after dumping the 'yak. |

Basically, I ran a line from the last hole of the hatch pad-eyes to the cockpit. I used this line, then, as a guide to place the turtle-thingies. |

Then I drilled holes. Voila!. |

And another view. I was going to do a similar thing in the front of the cockpit, but there's a huge slope there, so I decided not to. It's much easier to get back up in there later, so if after awhile I decide I need some sort of tie-down stuff there, I can add that later. What's next? If I'm lucky, Sunday afternoon will be the hole-filling session. After that stuff cures ... well, you'll have to come back and see. |
