Today was the day to do the initial forming of the cockpit lip. Here's what it looks like. This is a view from the front. |

This is from the top. You can see it is still a little chunky on the right side near the top, where the two sets of strips met. A little more sanding will take care of this, it is no big deal. |

This is a close-up of that chunky spot. If you look at the larger photo, you can see where the two sets of strips meet. You can also see the individual strips that make up the whole coaming lip. I'm thinking that this will look very cool when it is wet-out and has fiberglass on it! |

A close-up of the same piece, from the side. Here you can see that I need to do some cleaning up underneath the lip. I'm still not sure how I'm going to do that, but I guess I'll figure something out. |
