Time to add some more reinforcement. The area around the cockpit will take some abuse when I get in and get out. It will also take abuse when I carry the boat. So, it makes sense to reinforce the area around the cockpit. I'm also reinforcing the area directly behind the cockpit, as that will take added stress after I dump it, and need to get back in while the boat is on the water.

In addition, the area where my feet will be resting will take some added abuse, so it makes sense to provide some reinforcement for that area as well.
