I filled in cracks in the redwood areas of the deck. Here you can see a picture of the whole boat. You can see that I had many areas to fill, especially along the top centerline and aroudn the area where the yellow and red cedar meet. |

Here's a close-up of the area at the back of the cockpit recess where I'm concerned about gaps. Check out the before photo of this same area. I've done my best to fill them, but it may require another round of filling to fully take care of the problem. |

This is a closer photo of the back end of the kayak. Again, you can see that my work was concentrated along the top center, and at the point where the red cedar meets the white cedar. |

So ... if I sat in the cockpit today ... this is what I'd see. |

This is a close-up of the area on the back where the yellow cedar meets the red cedar. You can see a number of gaps filled. You can also see some chunkyness that will hopefully sand smooth from one of the larger gaps. |

From the front of the boat. What's next, you ask? Well, I hope to make one more touch-up crack-filling run in the yellow cedar area, and then I'll do some serious sanding. Hopefully, after that, I'll be ready to 'glass, but I may need to do some touch-up crack-filling on the red cedar areas too. We'll see. |
