I did some more work on the stern. You can see the strips that have been built up on either side. Also, you can see the full length of the boat here.

A closer look at the keel. You can see the darker wood built up from the sheer strips (the two light colored pieces sandwiched between the darker pieces).

I love this shot, even though the bottom part of it is blurry. You can really begin to see how the keel will look, and you can see the contrast between the light and dark wood. Note that the right side has one more strip than the left side, which may explain why you might think it looks a little off-balance.

You can see how the darker strips line up against the design strip here. You can also see the degree of the curve on the back end of the boat.

Same shot from a little different angle. You can see the strips meeting the design line a little better here. You can also see my block plane and stapler sitting on a make-shift shelf between forms in the boat. That little block plane has become one of my favorite tools.
