I began to fill in one of the bell-shaped areas tonight. The method here is to alternate where the strips are placed. One on the bottom, one on the top, one on the bottom, etc. The trick is whittling down the strips to get to the point where they fit tightly. You can see the alternating pattern on this shot of the bow.

This shot allows you to see how much was accomplished this session. The "bells" were equal when I started.
